SMALL HIRE BOATS

We accept cash or DEBIT card only.  Please note we are experiencing difficulties with our software which does not always accept payment by phone apps or wallets 

Electric Boats, Main Hirer must be over 18 Years of age.(ID May be required)
Pedalos and Row Boats, Main Hirer must be over 18 Years of age.(ID may be required)
Prices shown below are per boat not per person.

Small babies are allowed on boats either in a car seat or a buoyancy aid and are included in your total passenger count.
We do not take bookings for the small hire boats.

PLEASE NOTE; DOGS AND OTHER PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON SMALL BOATS

Terms & Conditions of Hire

Electric, Rowing & Pedalo boats
By hiring our boats, you are agreeing to the following terms & conditions.
All children under the age of 16 years, non-swimmers and lone hirers must wear a buoyancy aid and will not be permitted on board without one.
Animals are not permitted on any small boats.
Hire will not be granted to those who appear to be under the influence of drink or drugs.
*Proof of age and/or double deposit may be asked for if required.
*We reserve the right to request and hold identification for single sex groups.

LEE VALLEY BOAT CENTRE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RETAIN ALL OR PART OF THE HIRERS DEPOSIT IF: -

• The boat is returned late
• The boat is damaged
• Any fittings are missing or broken
• The hirer causes damage to any other vessel or property belonging to a third party
• The boat is returned in an unclean condition
• An animal has been reported seen on board the boat
• Hirers are not obeying the rules of the waterway
• Hirers are not handling the boat in a safe and responsible manner
• Hirers are behaving in a manner which has caused offence to other members of the public
• Hirers are jumping from the boat to swim in the river
• Hirers are pulling into the side of river to allow additional passengers to board the boat
• Returning with more passengers than permitted.
• Going beyond the limit of hire which is Carthagena Lock to the north and Kings Weir heading south under the bridge.

Water Safety Code

• Drive on right hand side of river at all times
• Children under age of 16 years must wear buoyancy aid at all times whilst on board the boat.
• Do not throw rubbish in river or leave on the boat
• Keep arms and legs inside the boat when cruising
• Beware of other boats and what they may do
• Keep 2 metres clear of moored boats
• All adults are advised to wear a buoyancy aid.
• Adult must supervise and be seated next to any child driving
• Avoid shallow water and weed at side of river
• Be aware that the river contains micro-organisms and it is not sensible to swallow the water or get in open wounds.
